I DID IT!

I met my goal of a 10 pound loss on Wii Fit. I set the goal for 1 month and I met it!!! I am thrilled!!! I just cut back on what I was eating(loosely counting WW points) and tried to exercise using Wii Fit for 30 minutes at least 4 days a week.
I still have at least 20 more pounds to drop but this was a big motivator. I have set my next goal for the same loss - 10 pounds in one month.
It is really cute that Wii Fit will ask my husband (who is also using it to lose weight) if I look slimmer :) It also encourages him to compliment me! It's a great tool and I highly recommend it. It's better money spent than I have ever wasted on a gym.

I'm at a loss.....

Weight(YAY) and Sleep(Boo!). I am now down to 151.2(starting at 167 on 7/28) and 2.2 lbs away from my 10 pound loss goal I set on Wii Fit. And you must be wondering why I am not sleeping....well, we all have this horrible cold. I had a two year old plus my husband sleeping next to me last night. Both snoring and coughing. My infant is also sick, so I was awake listening for every little peep she made. So, no sleep for me!
I am also excited since I tried on a pir of maternity jeans that were too small for a LONG time and they fit. Hence, they are still maternity, BUT it does show I am losing weight! Go ME!

Hurt Myself Falling Off The WAGON.....

Two big mistakes yesterday - making cookies and having dinner at Cheeseburger in Paradise. Well, you know how one cookie turns into two, then by the time you realize it, you've eaten five? That's how it started yesterday. I made those pre-cut sports themed sugar cookies. I made them for my son and ended up eating a ton of them yesterday. They had little soccer balls and footballs on them, which actually appeared in my nightmare last night. I don't know if I dreamed about them because I crammed two of them in my face before bed, or because of the guilt I felt from eating them. Cheeseburger in Paradise - where do I begin? Popcorn shrimp, hamburger, fries, and a sangria........ probably the worst I have been since starting this diet. Once the meal is in front of me, I can't stop eating. That happens a lot when I am out to dinner with friends and we're chatting. I did it last night and ate pretty much all the fries. Fries are a HUGE trigger food for me. I can't say I can avoid them entirely, but I would like to learn more self control around them. I didn't start this blog with the intention of abusing myself over what I have eaten, but I do feel that I should be honest when I have had my weak moments. It's a new day and I am ready to start again. Just have to slow the wagon down so I can hop back on!!!!

Who is Your Body Inspiration?

I see girls and women who idolize the stick thin celebrity. I can't do that in all good conscience. First of all, I am not built to be stick thin. I have curves. And an ass. A big one. I have found in the long run that my idols should be women who are built like me and look healthy. And by stating I have a big ass, I feel that I must say J-LO is not much of an inspiration to me. It's not because of her body, it's just that I am not a fan. My inspiration? Jessica Biel (at least for this week). She has an amazing, healthy, toned figure. She looks great in anything she wears. Our bodies are NOT quite comparable(even if I spent all day working out, I still would not look like her), but the 'idea' of her figure is what inspires me.

Back on The Wagon!

I am so proud of me! I did Wii Fit last night for 35 minutes. It's so hard for me to stay motivated being as tired as I am. I have lost 5 pounds of fat since starting and that is a great motivator. I have done tons of diets, but honestly, exercise is key. I hate it, don't get me wrong. I am as lazy as a human can possibly be! But, it does work wonders. I have been on every diet imaginable - Atkins, South Beach, All Carbs, No Carbs, Fruit and Water Fasts, ect......the only one that works for me is Weight Watchers. It works as long as I have the motivation to stick with it. I have been meaning to go to meetings, feeling that it might make me feel more accountable for everything that goes in my mouth. Portion control is the best way to make your diet become a healthy lifestyle change. My husband and I did South Beach for awhile and it does work. You just have to adapt low carb eating to your daily routine. I couldn't live without pizza and bagels, so naturally, it didn't work out.On a side note, It is nice not being pregnant. It's great to see my ankles and feet again. Which reminds me - I need to get a pedicure....BADLY. Happy dieting!

Hate Monday Weigh In!

ACK. I hate Monday weigh in. I try to do it at the same time on Monday morning and I dread it. Well, I am still stuck at 153. Could be worse, I know. I really can't blame anyone but myself. I didn't exercise as much as I should have and I had some food slip ups.

On a more positive note, I am trying to drink my daily water amount by using Crystal Light On The Go Packets. I love the Citrus Flavor because it has caffeine in it. Perks me right up. Right now, caffeine is my drug of choice, usually in the form of Diet Coke. I would prefer it in chocolate...::sigh::

Want to see the reason I need so much caffeine lately? She was up screaming at 4 AM :(

Exercise for the Lazy

It is so hard to update this every day. First off, I have a cranky, colicky daughter that demands constant attention. I was spoiled with my son. He was an awesome infant that slept a lot. Not this child. In any case, my husband and I were able to get our hands on a Wii Fit. Hands down, one of the best inventions ever. I have already lost 5 pounds by using it! It keeps you motivated and is so much fun you barely realize you're exercising! I love the 'table tilt' game, as well as the soccer ball head butting competition. My husband has to be reminded not to jump on the Wii Fit board(looks like a floor scale that you stand on...). It would really suck if he did jump, thus making a skylight for our basement. So, if you're very anti-exercising, I do recommend the Wii Fit. Compete against members of your family to make it even more fun. My husband and I try to one up each other all the time. My two year old also tries to play, but hasn't quite gotten the hang of it yet! Another recommendation is Eye Toy Kinetic for PS2. It has a tiny camera that follows your movements as you play along with an arcade style game. Also, a huge hit in our house! At this point I am down to 153 pounds. My goal is to lose ten within the next 2 weeks - by 9/20, which will bring me to 148. This is 5 pounds away from pre-pregnancy weight and 20 from pre-wedding weight. I have been working on this 10 pounds since 8/20, in case you were curious. I am really taking one day at a time, trying to stick to my goals and become healthy again. Right now, the main focus is to fit in my pre-pregnancy clothes again. I won't be happy if I need to buy a whole new, larger wardrobe, even though I would love any excuse to shop.
